Hello everyone! I am so pleased that you decided to stop by and take some time to get to know Dorsett Counseling Services.

I have been in the mental health field about 25 years total and the last 15 years being a therapist and advocate of mental health services.

I have really been able to focus and utilize my wide-ranging therapeutic skills and approaches to cater to just about anyone I work with. My passion is in helping others overcome issues with general mental health (anxiety, depression, etc.), trauma, substance use, and the treatment of individuals with severe mental illnesses.

Our motto, "It's All About Connection", is not just a catch phrase. In my experience, those coming to explore counseling as a remedy for the life challenges they have faced want to know that someone authentically and sincerely cares about them. We believe that this is the foundation which can open unlimited potential for change. We would love to be able embark on part of your path to wellness. Please let us know if we can help!

Hello! With over 18 years of experience in mental health, I am dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. I offer compassionate, evidence-based counseling tailored to each client’s unique needs.

My approach is warm and encouraging. I teach clients how to deepen the brain-body connection that guides us toward wellness. I use CBT and DBT to address thoughts and behaviors that keep us stuck. I am also certified in EMDR.

My areas of expertise include trauma, addiction, autism, parent education and coaching, anxiety, and depression.

Hi there! As a certified Neurofeedback Tech, I work with clients of all ages to train brain function toward healthier, more balanced patterns. This translates to improvement of focus, performance, emotional balance, sleep, and stress management. The best part is that neurofeedback training, like other “muscle memory” such as learning to ride a bike, has long-term lasting effects.

As someone who lives with complex chronic illness and chronic pain, I have first-hand understanding of the delicate, interconnected relationship between the mind (our intangible cognitive activity, feelings, and beliefs) and the brain (our physical system of bodily functions and responses). Put simply, the things we experience in one realm certainly affect the other. The work we do in neurofeedback brings more ease to your brain and nervous system, thus allowing you to maximize the hard work spent on your mind, heart, and soul within therapy.

My goal is to make this process comfortable, collaborative, and empowering. I take time to understand your unique needs and am with you every step of the way, monitoring and adjusting the training protocol to ensure steady progress. I also work closely with clinicians to coordinate care and offer additional support and resources.
